THE INSPECTOR TEST VALVE.
The NYC Fire Department and the Fire Insurance Company require that all fire sprinkler system have an inspector test valve installed at the most remote point of the system (end of the system) to enable the inspector to verify and test that the system has the required pressure.
This test valve enables the inspector to ascertain that the system is in a state of readiness charged and ready to activate at a moments notice.
